Sophia Hupp

In August 2023 I finished my bachelor in biology in Regensburg, Germany. Currently, I am following the cancer, stem cell and developmental biology Master’s program at Utrecht University. For my internship project, I am using next-generation CRISPR tools to evaluate the effects of mutations in different splicing factors on DNA damage in HSPCs. Mutations in these factors have recurrently been seen in cases of advanced chronic lymphocytic leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes but also in solid cancers.
