My research focuses on how we can apply machine learning methods to further unravel mutational processes, like identifying which specific mutations are caused by a mutagen or predicting the effect of chemotherapy on specific cells. In this way I use computational methods to get more insight in biological processes and ultimately, the etiology of cancer.
